Less than 45 minutes northwest of Boston in Devens, Massachusetts, Red Tail Golf Club sits atop one of the most beautiful swaths of land in the entire Commonwealth. Formerly home to Fort Devens, the course is named after the Red Tail hawks that soar overhead. The 18-hole track flows over rolling wooded hills and meanders among countless streams and ponds. Designed by Brian Silva, Red Tail strays from the classic New England golf landscape of maples, birches, oaks and pines, and instead features tall grasses and sands reminiscent of courses along the coast.
A large bent grass practice green for putting and chipping and a world-class practice range featuring all bent grass tees are available to guests. The course boasts a comprehensive golf shop, and lessons and clinics are offered at the course, highlighted by a five-week lesson series for golfers of all skill levels. The Tavern at Red Tail offers a picturesque New England setting and is the perfect place to host weddings, private functions and corporate events.
